What A Difference A Year Makes

I got to go to the pumpkin patch again! And this time I could pick up BIG pumpkins, run around (and spin), and play the games, and even pet the animals! Look how much bigger I am than last year...

You can see lots more pictures from this year's trip in Daddy's Pumpkin Patch 2009 Flickr set. Check me out! I sign "scared" and then "hug" the goats anyway!

And if you want to see more of me, check out Daddy's "not-quite-365" daily photoset... and Daddy's "not-quite-52" weekly video playlist. See me on hikes, at Disneyland, and at the beach - and watch me sing, sign, and talk. This is entertainment!

Oh, if you want to see the "Where is Baby Clark's Pumpkin" book from last year, check out this old post: Check Out My New Book

Playdoh!

I love me some playdoh. I like to sign play and then sprinkle my fingers for dough. then I sign ball, then roll, then squish. I squish my ball onto a mold then peel it off and it makes an animal. and I like to shout the colors:boo, yeahyo, ed, een!

Here I am in action:

Baby Brother

When Mama and Dada asked if the baby was a boy or girl I just signed baby. They kept asking me, so I signed girl. Now they know I can't predict the future cause Mama says it's a boy. She was a little disappointed she wouldn't get to buy girl stuff, but she will just have to buy it for herself - besides boy toys are way better. :)

UPDATE 08/08/09:
Here are some more pictures of my baby brother! Also, you can vote on what Mama and Dada should name him - just click on the poll to the right.

Waiting for Tomatoes

I helped Mama inspect all the tomatoes today. One had turned orange and I was very fascinated by this. She said I had to wait 'til it was red so I sat down and signed wait. well I waited like 30 seconds but nothing happened so I pretended to eat them. Yum yum!

UPDATE 08/08/09: I got to eat a red tomato - I got to pick it, and it tasted yummy! Now I want to pick all the tomatoes but Mama and Dada don't like that. :(

Making Music

Gigi got me an electronic keyboard (with a micrphone) for my birthday, but Mommom and Dada saved it for me until yesterday... and I love it! I can push the fast button or the slow button while I'm listening - or I can make my own music with my fingers. Best of all, I can sing with the microhphone in my mouth! But why did Dada call me "Eva" - who's that?

Down Our Street

When mommom & I came home the other day, we saw a momma duck and her 9 baby ducks crossing the street. I wanted to give them bread but we didn't have any so they waddled away.:( Come back ducks!

Errands with Dada

Every Friday (and sometimes on Monday) Dada takes me on a walk to do "errands." It's always a lot of fun! First I help Dada check his P.O. box... where he get's mail!

If I'm lucky, one of the nice ladies at the UPS Store will play with me. Sometimes they even bring me toys!

Next we go to the bank. Dada always lets me use the card and push the buttons. It reminds me of a line from that new U2 song he likes... "I was punchin' in the numbers at the ATM machine..."

Then, if we need anything from the store, we do some grocery shopping. I like riding in the cart, but it's even more fun to take things off the shelf!

If I'm lucky, Dada will let me get a newspaper. Actually, he never does, but boy do I want to crinkle one whenever I see one in the machine... but the machines sure rattle good even if I can't have a newspaper!

And we always make time for a game of "boo!"

But we don't always have time to go in the other stores... but boy do I want to!

That's right. I'm a big help on Dada's errands... even when I just want to be chasing birds... and even when I have a runny nose. I'm such a big boy. :)

Happy Mommom Day!

I like to call my mommy mom-mom & this mom-momday she had a special surprise for me.

Oldies But Goodies

Mommom just started posting pictures of me from her phone. Some old ones got posted on the dates they were taken, but we don't know when mommom took these two... when I look back on my life sometimes it's hard to keep the order of things straight. I've been alive for fifteen months you know! Anyway, here's some oldies but goodies...

I love to help unload the dishwasher.

And look how cool I was when I was little!

Watermellon Hug

Mommom finally let me hug a watermelon!

Scoot Your Butt!

Dada took me to one of my favorite duck parks on Friday. We saw ducks... and then we went to the playground... and Dada let me slide down the little slide all by myself. Look!

I like spaghetti On My Baby...

... I want spaghetti baby please.

Spaghetti! MMMMMMMM! And, yes, I'm signing phone (or "nay nay" as I like to call it) because mommom took this picture with her phone.

What else have I been up to?

Mama and Dada say I've been slacking on my blog. I've still been on the computer though... playing my game!

Here's a picture of me blogging:

Actually, I admit it... I was playing my game in that picture. And here's a video of me and Dada playing my game. He always asks me questions so I can practice my signs wile I play. Check it out - it's a bit long for a YouTube video, but you know, Dada's an old guy and doesn't get all this new media:

Anyway, I recently had my first McDonalds hamburger! (Never mind all the apple on my shirt.)

And not even a week later I saw a real elephant for the first time at the zoo! Pppppfffffftttttt!

And... in the same week I had my first trip to Disneyland. I loved the Pirate Island! I didn't get into any trouble... honest.

I've made a few other appearances in Dada's "not-quite-365" daily photo set on Flickr and his "not-quite-52" weekly video project on YouTube too. These are good places to see what else I've been up to. Ok, back to my crib... Mama and Dada think I'm taking a long nap. ;)

My First Easter Egg Hunt!

Last Easter I wore a bunny suit and lots of people said I was cute, but this year was even better! I got to see all my cousins (and my friend Henry) - and we got to play with bubbles, hunt for eggs, and eat lots of fruit! Did you know the sign for fruit is very similar to the sign for candy? So I just do them both the same. :)

Check out these Easter pictures Dada (and a bunch of other people) took - click on the picture to see a slide show on Shutterfly:

And here's a fun video Dada shot too:

Grandma (and a bunch of other people) also took a lot of pictures and movies - click on the picture to see a slideshow on Picasa:

I can't wait to see what we'll do for Easter next year!

The ABCs of my Signs

My new book is out! Thanks to Mommy for her hard work on all the writing, design, and love that went into making this book. I love it!

Me in Palm Springs

Mommy and Daddy took me to another special place called Palm Springs... for something they called the CUE conference. I got to explore the hotel (and conference center) all I wanted - and I met so many people! Best of all, I got lots of pool time! Grandma and Grandpa were there, too, and it was the best. Just look at these pictures. I think I like this CUE conference thing!

The Bubble Gun!

I love bubbles! I love signing bubbles, making the sound of popping bubbles... and, of course, actually chasing and popping bubbles! Bubbles might even be more fun than balloons... unless the balloons sing to you!

But I didn't know Mommy and Daddy were holding out on me until a few days ago... when I discovered the bubble gun! It's the greatest. Just look at the pictures below if you don't believe me.

Still not convinced? Watch this video of me playing with the bubbles. It's not the best, but Daddy used a phone instead of a video camera - at least you can see the bubbles... and me.

I had so much fun with Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa. I think every baby should have a bubble gun.

Baby Signing Time

My favorite show in the world is Baby Signing Time. It's got babies and music and helps me learn to tell mommy and daddy what I want! Why would a baby watch anything else? I like to sign "time" for mommy and daddy to ask for the show. Sometimes it works, but sometimes I have to grab the remotes and say "DVD" or "TV" - with my voice, not with my hands.

Anyway, Mommy and Daddy say I have a signing vocabulary of like 40 signs - and I think that's a big number! Mommy took some pictures of my signs - take a look by clicking on me saying "hat" below:

Daddy also took a video of me signing with Mommy. You can watch it right here on my blog!

I can even tell Mommy and Daddy when I go potty, which is great 'cause I get new diapers right away... but when I tell them before I have to go they want me to sit on a potty - and I don't like that!

I'll share more signs here soon - let me know if you have any special requests.

My 1st Birthday - A Wild Pool Party!

I'm gonna be one year old on February 9th! But we're gonna celebrate the day before (the 8th) from 12 to 2... so more people can party! Dada says its a big deal that the Earth went around the Sun since I was born. I don't know what that means, but I hope you can come eat and play with me!

I want to have a pool party, but Mama says it might be too cold to go to the pool. I'm still hoping it will be hot, hot, hot - and I can sign it too! If it's too cold, we'll splash in the backyard; Mommy will put up a sign at the corner. :)

Mama and Dada are gonna make hamburgers (yum yum), so post a comment if you are coming. You can also bring a side if you want - just post a comment below. :)

I can't wait to see you!

UPDATE:  Mommy and Daddy shared lots of pictures of my birthday on their shutterfly share site! Click the picture below to relive my special day!
